Four Year Old Class Teacher
It’s a pleasure to spend my mornings at Providence Nursery School. In writing this biography, I realized that I have been working with beautiful and diverse young children for over twenty years!
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin and continue to attend and enjoy Early Childhood Education Workshops. Prior to working at Providence Nursery School, I taught Kindergarten in the Dallas public schools and preschool in Richardson, Texas, Nashville, Tennessee and Pensacola, Florida.
For the past ten years I have had the privilege of teaching the four’s class. I get such a thrill out of watching children make new friends, learn new skills and have fun playing. Sharing and cooperation play a large part of my classroom operation.
Most afternoons, I tutor school age children at various Fairfax County homeless shelters. I help the children with their homework and we share the day's experiences.
My husband and I are "empty nesters." Our three children, two sons and a married daughter, are all grown. We constantly ask ourselves "Where did the time go?"The greatest joy in my life are now my grandchildren. I treasure each moment we share.
