Child's Day Out (CDO)

Monday and/or Friday, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

  • Ages 20-36 months by September 30, 2010.
  • Day balanced between classroom time, "big room" centers, outdoor play, snack, circle, story, and music time.
  • No co-oping in the classroom required.
  • Adult-to-child ratio is 1:5. Maximum 10 children.

Two Year Old Preschool Class

Tuesday and Thursdays, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

  • Age two by September 30, 2010.
  • Day balanced between classroom time, process art, "big room" centers, outdoor play, snack, circle and story time. Specialized music instruction once a week from a professional music teacher.
  • Parents co-op in the classroom approximately every 7 weeks.
  • Adult-to-child ratio is 1:4. Maximum 12 children.

$168 per month
Buy-Out option is $242/month
(3 families are allowed to "buy-out" of classroom co-oping responsibilities)

Three Year Old Preschool Class

Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 9:30 AM - 12:30 pm

  • Age three by September 30, 2010
  • Day balanced between classroom activities, including circle time, calendar and weather discussion, show-and-tell, story and snack time, as well as "big-room" centers, process art, outdoor play and bike day, and work with small manipulatives, puzzles and games. Specialized music instruction occurs once a week from a professional music teacher.
  • Children also enjoy in-house enrichment programs throughout the school year such as dramatic story-telling and creative movement as well as six off-campus field trips.
  • Parents co-op in the classroom approximately every 6 to 7 weeks, and drive on two field trips.
  • Adult-to-child ratio is 1:5. Maximum of 14 children.

$210 per month

Three/Four Year Old Preschool Class

3's--Tuesday through Thursday, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
4's--Monday through Thursday, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM

  • For older three year olds (must turn four by February 28, 2011) or four year olds (four by September 30, 2010.)
  • Three year olds attend Tuesday through Thursday; four year olds attend Monday throughThursday, with Mondays reserved for specific kindergarten readiness instruction. All students attend class for three hours per school day.
  • Daily activities include working with small manipulatives, puzzles, and sequencing games, process art, circle and reading time, lunch and snack time, Star of the Day program, show-and-tell, discussing the calendar, weather, and current events, outdoor play and bike day, and "big-room" centers. Specialized music instruction once a week from a professional music instructor.
  • Children also enjoy in-house enrichment programs throughout the school year such as dramatic story-telling and creative movement as well as eight off-campus field trips.
  • 5 Parents co-op approximately every seven weeks and generally drive on two field trips.
  • Adult-to-child ratio is 1:7. Maximum of 14 children.

Four Year Old Preschool Class

Tuesday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM

  • Four by September 30, 2010.
  • Day balanced between time in the classroom working with small manipulatives, puzzles, and games, snack time, Star of the Day program, show-and-tell, discussing the calendar, weather, and current events, process art, outdoor play and bike day, “big-room” centers, and kindergarten readiness activities. Specialized music instruction once a week from a professional music instructor.
  • Children also enjoy in-house enrichment programs throughout the school year such as dramatic story-telling and creative movement as well as eight off-campus field trips .
  • 8 Parents co-op approximately every six weeks and generally drive on 2 field trips.
  • Adult-to-child ratio is 1:6. Maximum of 12 children.

Lunch Bunch

Monday through Thursday, 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Lunch Bunch gives three and four year olds an additional fun hour to their school day. Children bring their own packed lunch, and enjoy eating and playing in a supervised small group setting.

$28/month ~ for attending one day a week
$50/month ~ for attending two days a week
$72/month ~ for attending three days a week
$94/month ~ for attending four days a week

A minimum enrollment of four (4) students is required in order for Lunch Bunch to be held on any particular day, and a maximum of 20 students may be enrolled per day.

Enrichment Activities

Students in the 3's, 3/4's & 4's class participate in enrichment activities twice per month, including puppet shows, creative movement, pumpkin painting, nature/wildlife presentations, etc. All activities are held at the school with younger students and/or siblings welcome to come in for many events. Providence Nursery School also offers a soccer class for ages three and older through "Touch and Technique Soccer." The class is 30 minutes long and is held after school once a week.
